max | 3 months

I love this little guy. During our shoot I said to Jill, "He just looks like a little man!" And she said that people have said that ever since he was born. Typically, I am always shocked to see how much one of my baby clients has grown (since 3 months would have passed since the last time I saw him/her), but Max's pictures are all over Facebook! And because I'm friends on Facebook with Max's entire family, I am able to keep close tabs on him:) (Keep up the good work guys)!

Here's Mr. Max!

So cute how he's smiling at mommy!

I LOVE this shirt. And his blue eyes!

hazel | 6 months

Well, Miss Hazel is already 6 months old! It's hard to believe that it's already been half a year ago that I first met this teeny tiny baby, and now she's got a huge personality! Hazel picked an urban location this time for her shoot, and I think that was a fine choice:) All of her brightly colored outfits and hairbows looked awesome in this setting.

For those of you that have hung around this blog for a while know that there's no need for an introduction, but for those of you who haven't met this cutie, meet Hazel!

She's such a happy baby!

Hazel brings a new tutu to every shoot with her! She's even got a company named after her, so if you need a tutu or headband, checkout Hazel Fancy Hazel!

jenny & ian | 04.18.09

I KNEW that Jenny and Ian would just plan the most perfect day! For the year that I've known them, I can tell that they have put a lot of thought into everything that they had planned for their wedding day, and it really made for a fabulous celebration. The guests had a great time, the day was gorgeous, and Jenny and Ian had the time of their lives. Their venue is one of my most favorite places, not only because it's beautiful, but because it's where Simon and I tied the knot 4.5 years ago. For those of you out there that are planning a wedding, or for those that MIGHT be planning a wedding very soon, you must checkout the White River Gardens at the Indianapolis Zoo. It's a GREAT place for those of you wanting an outdoor wedding, but fear what plan B might be if the weather isn't so favorable. Plan B at the White River Gardens is their indoor Botanical Garden facility where they have the butterfly exhibit every year. So no matter what, you have a great backdrop for your wedding. And then the reception is right there on the grounds at the Hulman Riverhouse. Because Jenny and Ian planned a Spring wedding, they just went ahead and planned for the Botanical Gardens...and yes, there were a few butterflies fluttering around during the ceremony!!!

Now onto the details. Did I mention I love shooting details? Especially red hot shoes like this!

I couldn't resist the gorilla statue outside the girls' changing room! ha!

Jenny is an AMAZING cake maker. I recently hired her to make Isabel's Welcome Party cake, and it looked just like the photo of Isabel's nursery that I gave her. Jenny didn't make one, but THREE wedding cakes. One main one, one groom's cake which was a fedora, and then some little tikis since they spent their honeymoon in Bora Bora and Tahiti. Checkout her site by clicking here! I love that the main wedding cake is funky and different!!

After the final cake preparations, Jenny slipped into her gown, and boy is she stunning!

Before the ceremony started, I took a few minutes to capture some of the details of the Botanical Gardens! I managed to get a shot of one of the butterflies as it landed!

I love Becca! She is Ian's little niece, and you might remember her from our shoot last Fall !

Ian's first glimpse of his beautiful bride!

Not only are the Botanical Gardens beautiful, there's great natural light for photos!

I thought this was so cute. As Jenny was repeating her vows, she slipped up just once, and Ian kissed her hands! Awe!

Their "first dance" was hilarious. The maid of honor and best man surprised everyone and sang "Islands in the Stream" while Jenny and Ian laughed the entire time they were dancing!

We ended the night with the skyline view from the Riverhouse!

Congratulations, Jenny and Ian. I am so happy for you two. I hope you had a marvelous time in Tahiti and Bora Bora (hopefully you captured some great photos with that new Canon Rebel--please share your photos)!!! It was a pleasure working with you two. Enjoy your slideshow!
